I just got a call from the deputy assigned to the case of my stolen firearm. My 1911 was stolen on Easter Sunday 2 years ago and they apparently recovered it late last night. It was found about 60 miles from here in PA during a search warrant they executed on a felony parolee. It may take me a bit to get it back depending on how pre-trial goes on May 11th but the silver lining is I will be getting it back. I think the guy who had it is probably who stole it because he still had the same leather holster it was in when it got stolen. I will post pics and updates when it's back in my posession

As far as I know none.. The dude who was in posession of it was a paroled felon so I imagine he'll get some time for this... I am waiting to hear the news on May 11th as to how long I have to wait to retrieve my firearm

LT, that's great news! Most people never see their chit again or just don't know where the gun ended up.

Yeah I had written off ever seeing it again that's for sure... Let alone it still having my custom grips AND the leather holster with it but apparently it's all still together... Now I wish I hadn't sold all my.accessories for it lmao like extra mags and shit

Good to hear you got it back. I'm still hoping to get a 1911 at some points.

Did anyone grind off the serial numbers on it?

I am unsure of it's condition as I have not gotten it back from the Police but according to the officer it was in good condition so I assume no

If the serial numbers were off I doubt they would have been able to contact lt to tell him they found it
