Crossover or Equalizer

Recommended Posts

Most people use both. A crossover will separate the signal from the head unit into separate signals like sub, mid, and high to different amps so the different speakers get only the frequencies they are capable of playing. An equalizer can boost or cut specific frequencies of the signal from the head unit. Some head units have these built in.
