RedFred
Got my 2nd SQ 2200 in the mail today, but was pretty busy so I didn't get around to installing it until later in the night. Here was the mess I had beforehand: and here's the mess I have now: eventually I plan to build a little fascia to hide my horrid wires, but for now this is how it goes. Hoping to see a 150 tomorrow, even if it has to be Outlaw! I also bought the MDF for the 4 10s box, so once my Audible Engineering ports get here, I can build that box
RedFred
Well voltage with the two 2200s @ 0.5 is great, as expected. However, these subs can't hang!? Wasn't able to turn them up very loud at all before they started popping or bottoming out. So up for sale they go. with any luck, my ports and subs will show up tomorrow! I also learned I built my amp rack backwards...whoops.

I'm probably too lazy to ever rearrange it the proper way. My two 10s showed up today, but no sign of my Audible Engineering ports
RedFred
Since I ordered my aero ports on the 17th (a week ago), I shot Aaron at Audible Engineering an email asking what's up. Going into the e-mail, I was a bit upset as I leave for school shortly and it looks like I won't have a chance to build my box before then. But not even a minute after I sent the e-mail, he had replied to me explaining a situation with his ongoing health issues, and a lack of help around the shop, and assured me that I would be getting my ports soon. That kind of customer service goes a long way with me, so I'm confident he'll be my supplier in the future!
RedFred
nothing super substantial lately. traded the 8 8s for one of my old Banda 7ks, then sold it within 20 minutes of posting picked up a dual 15" box that has almost the exact dimensions that my 4 10 box will have, and threw two of my NVX VCWs in it (which nobody wants to buy) One of these days I'll buy some 8gauge and stop wiring my subs with 18gauge lol? Did some more clamp tests for the hell of it. Each amp was wired @ 1 ohm (strapped @ 2 ohms) was rising from 1 ohm to about 2.5 - 4 ohms per amp. the most I clamped was something like 2900, which I didn't get any video or pictures of because my battery in the AMM-1 died? these 9v batteries in the SSA APM2 and the SMD tools only last like an hour of use, it blows. then I picked up two C315s, D1, so I can drop my amps down to 0.5 each this box is only 6.4 cubes net, which is pretty damn small for c315s, so we'll see what happens. my aeroports have shipped, but I go back to school Tuesday, so soon my updates will become more and more fleeting. RedFred
Threw the C315s in, and we're back to low 150s again. I really like how subs look inverted...so I'm not sure if I'll keep this setup, or sell it to make room for the 4 10s I had initially planned. I guess we'll see.
