Hopesndreams
I normally do slot ports on all my boxes but this time around I would like to do a round port. I'm doing this build in a cavalier, subs facing front. I have the basic idea in my head of the layout but i still haven't learned how to use round ports. How many what size etc.. I plan to make the box 4cu ft after displacements and people are recommending 30hz tuning. Any help would be greatly appreciated. L
ShadeTreeMechanic
Any time I ever tried to use a round port, it was impossible to get a big enough port to fit in the box I was building. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Joe X
These drivers seem to require little port area (RF HE 10" - RFP3410) three 4" round ports should suffice, each should be 19" long to tune to 34Hz, 25 1/4" each for 30Hz.
Hopesndreams
Ok that'll change things a bit but oh well I figured i would have a pretty long port or ports either way. Thanks Joe L
