winisd beta and 4ths

playing with winisd and trying to design a 4th order bandpass. all i get are peaky curves no matter what i do. Anyone have experience using winisd to design 4ths?

maybe i have the T/S specs wrong, not sure

If you get the newest version of WinISD its a lot easier to use and is less buggy.  You can get it here: http://www.linearteam.org/download/winisd-07x.exe

 

To reduce the peakyness of a 4th order bandpass, you need to reduce the front chamber size.  Depending on the particular sub you are modeling, you may get peaky output no matter what you do.  What sub are you modeling?

Yeah you are never going to get anything other than a peaky response with those.  WAY too high of an EBP and WAY to low of a Vas.

They will work well in a 6th order bandpass box.  

You could do a parallel-tuned 6th with a rear chamber of 3 cu ft tuned to 32 hz and the front chamber of 2 cu ft tuned to 55 Hz, just as a starting point.
