Alain
Hi my question is can the recovery mode be used on a small battery bank of mix groups or should they be charged seperatly?
 0 4
Karkov
Do "all" the batteries need to be "recovered"? I would do them separate, just me... lets see what others say Quote 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. WalledSonic
If all your batteries dont need recovery, then i wouldnt run the whole bank like that since the current will be divied up between alll the batteries. Others may have had success doing this, but i'm with Karkov, i would do them separately. How many batts do you have and what group are they? Also, why do you think you need to recover them? Keep in mind the PSC15 is a rather small charger. Alain
My bank consists of a d3400 under the hood an xp3000 x2500 and a north star g31 I've had them in the car for at least four years that why I'm thinking that this could be good for them. Doing them separately would take me a lot of time because of battery location.
 0 4
WalledSonic
Let's say you have one battery resting at 12.0V and the other batts resting at 12.8V. If the charger doesnt see that 12.0V battery, it wont recover properly. Your system voltage will be an average of all the batteries (let's say 12.5V for sake of convo), so running recovery on a whole bank wont allow the charger to see the 12.0V battery. Now if all your batts are dead, thats another story. Are you trying to recover because you have low voltage? I would disconnect each one and test resting voltage with a DMM.
