So Ive seen a few videos and have read good reviews about these 10 Farad capacitors that also serve as a distribution block.

Ive seen 2 options:

Theres lots of smart man here that know everything about car audio and im looking for there opinions on these capacitors.

They can be somewhat beneficial if mounted extremely close to your amps with as shor a run of wire from the cap to the amps.

Your money would be better spent on a secondary battery though.

Are you having voltage issues currently?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I had the RF cap, and for $200, it is not worth the money.  Like Broke said, a battery is more useful for the coin.  You get more reserve and better voltage stability with another battery.

Although, if you spend that money on a bank of Maxwell caps, then the conversation may change a bit.

In that case I would save your dollars.  I actually have that 10F RF cap still, its under a couch in the spare bedroom.  But it doesnt do enough compared to my battery bank to justify adding it back in to the system.

It really depends on how much power you are running to begin with, and what your electrical is like.  I have the RF cap and love it. It works well in my situation.  I cant speak on the other, but I know some are better than others. I have a DC 270xp alt, and am pulling right around 2k rms in an 03 Expedition and I rarely drop below 13.5V regardless of the song, or other conditions (heat etc). In my situation, 10 farads is enough to make a difference and I never dip down into battery voltage.

A healthy 12v battery will sit around 12.6 give or take a tenth or 2.  If you aren't dropping to or below that, then you have enough supply to where you aren't really touching your reserve, and the cap will most likely help. Extra reserve will only help you hold that 12.6ish longer.

Where, when, how and with what are you measuring your voltage when you say you stay at 12.8 or better?

What is the rest of your electrical like?
