Verlaist
Sealing a wall. Got 2 DC Level 6 in my Subaru and glassed out most every side. Looks sealed but on music you can feel air behind the side. Any good way or method to find the spots that need attention? Top of port glassed now too. FYI, My first wall and I am NOT a professional installer. Things tried. Fiberglass sides and gaps. Used window seal adheisive where the glassed sided meet the b Pillar. Beanz
You could always use a fog machine run it inside the vehicle and see where the fog is coming out .That could point you to your leaks That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. Karkov
Try the dark area with a light first and report back. Thats the easiest and it's good advice. Smoke machines aren't always easy to come by but that is an awesome idea also. I dont have my own ideas but I'm curious to see if you find something that works. Do you vape? You could vape smoke and maybe try pulling the smoke using a shop vac, shit, IDK, lol. Have doors shut and go full tilt with back door(s) open and see if it leaks or is that what you've already done? 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. Verlaist
Thanks for feedback. Turns out I had 2 HUGE gaps there where some trim went for the head liner went (top corners of wall). The dark with flashlight has pointed to some areas of concern as well. As always thank you guys! I was at it today with my fiberglass and 11 oz cloth from US Composites! Going to let it cure overnight and let the sanding begin! 2002 Forester Alpine INE-W927HD, Hertz Mille Legend 3 way 2 DC Level 6's,Bit One Audio , Audison Voce Due and Quattro, 4 Twisted Sounds 3.5K, 8 G31 Batteries, DC Power XP 270 Alternator.
