crazydoublekick
What's going on, all? A month or so ago, I finished up one of my more fun projects for a friend/customer. Here's a build component list: 1998 Ford Expedition Mechman 270a 12v alt 2 JS 370a 16v alts 2 K2 16v 80ah banks 8 runs Sky High 1/0 OFC (4 pos, 4 neg) 3 DC Audio 5.0 amplifiers 6 Skar Audio EVL 15s Crescendo 1100.4 DB Drive mids/tweets C-pillar wall built by yours truly This thing was an absolute blast to put together. It ended up putting up nice numbers for a c-pillar, especially with budget subs. The wall was built for 6 Level 6 15s, and there will eventually be 6 5.0s. Pictures will be uploaded as soon as they finish uploading to photobucket! There are many, many pictures, as well as a few vids. Stay tuned! 1993 Suburban 6 Crossfire XT3 15s Crossfire XS-16k Crossfire mids & highs and amps 65ah Cmax bank Iraggi 320a and Mechman 300a

crazydoublekick
The blank canvas. My bud was insistent on fitting 6 15s in a flat wall in this space. I was skeptical at first, but decided to build the shell as big as possible and go from there. You can see some of that Sky High goodness. I went ahead and cut the headliner and started PL'ing these double-stacked pieces to the roof between the braces. At this time, I also PL'd and screwed a floor down. Here it is drying. Starting to get an idea of the shape of this thing. Another layer on the roof to tie those pieces in together. All voids were spray foamed as this build progressed. Getting the shape of the shell finalized. And a little bit of reinforcement. 2x4s, PL and foam for days. Trimmed down some foam. Here's the first layer of the back. More pictures to follow! 1993 Suburban 6 Crossfire XT3 15s Crossfire XS-16k Crossfire mids & highs and amps 65ah Cmax bank Iraggi 320a and Mechman 300a

crazydoublekick
This was a fun cut for the top corner of the back of the enclosure. Here's when the shell really started to take shape. Starting on the baffles: Quick test fit of the first one: A few 2x4s on the rear of the enclosure: More bafflez Starting on bracing, as well as starting to fill and sand the shell: Moar bracing More baffle testing Port added in: Even moar bracing, and a couple good coats of resin First baffle on! All 3 baffles on, and screw holes filled: Baffles resined: Port painted: Baffles painted: 6 Skar EVL 15s (temp subs): Subs loaded - nom nom Trunk trim cut to fit up against the wall: 1993 Suburban 6 Crossfire XT3 15s Crossfire XS-16k Crossfire mids & highs and amps 65ah Cmax bank Iraggi 320a and Mechman 300a
crazydoublekick
Mmmmm, lithium. Laid down some MDF on top of the 2x4s and built a little battery box Starting on an amp rack Back of the wall painted Mock up of battery box and amp rack Getting the allthread amp rack set up (I ended up going with more space between them than this) Starting to get the back situated 1993 Suburban 6 Crossfire XT3 15s Crossfire XS-16k Crossfire mids & highs and amps 65ah Cmax bank Iraggi 320a and Mechman 300a
crazydoublekick
Final box specs ended up being 21.5 ft^3 net at 28hz with a little over 300 square inches of port. Mostly wired up, albeit not cleaned up yet; 1100.4 on the doors. Got to do some brief testing before the owner took it home Sealed on the dash: Driver door open on the dash: Door open in the kick: I would have gotten some low lows numbers if I had the time. It crushed everything 20hz-60hz. I'll upload some videos to youtube and embed links. All 3 5ks wired to .5 each. 1993 Suburban 6 Crossfire XT3 15s Crossfire XS-16k Crossfire mids & highs and amps 65ah Cmax bank Iraggi 320a and Mechman 300a
