Is anyone familiar with the eq settings on Kenwood decks.. If so do you leave the eq on flat or custom settings.. I'm running this deck on 2 Soundqubed HDC4 15s strapped on 2 Soundqubed 2200s. When choosing Custom setting what are some good settings. It has a 13 band eq

Most people run their EQ flat with no bass boost on the amp or anything. I don't know what you are running up front, but if it is better than factory speakers then it shouldn't need EQ. The real way to do it would be to check it with an RTA to show you where the dips and bumps are so the EQ can be adjusted. Back in the day I would set mine to look like a smile, bass and treble boosted.

I have a kenwood excelon head unit with a 13 band EQ. I set the Q factor to 1.35 and i cut the 5th and 6th band by about -6db and i go down by -3 and -2 in the 2 octaves above and below that. i leave my bass (Band 1 & 2) and treble (bands 10-13) at 0, maybe boosting my 13th band +1 or 2. it's better for your speakers to cut the mids to accentuate your bass and treble. But i'm running 2 soundqubed 6.5" mid range woofers in my front door, each getting 100w RMS from a kicker 4 channel amp, bridged to 2 channel mode, so i need to cut my mids a bit. i have two Soundqubed 12 inch HDS 2.1's feeding them 1200w RMS from a CX1200.1, so that's my advice to you, tune your amps, and then cut the mids on that EQ if you want to hear louder bass, this way you won't clip.

Just so you know, the Bass EXT option basically widens the Q factor below 62.5hz (Band 1) to be totally flat, so that when you adjust the gain on band 1 it also effects an octave below 62.5.
