Pope DaHammer
I am wondering should i get a bigger amp? I am running 1.33 ohms with the CT SOUNDS 1400d on (3) SA-10D2 REV2's Ported. Now i saw Steve Dyno this amp and it does 2400 or better dynamic @ 1 ohm. the subs are rated at 750 watts RMS. So at 1.33 ohm it pounds. But i am wondering will a bigger AMP push them harder or am i good where i am? If you think I can go with a stronger AMP...what would you suggest. Money is really no object. YukonXL04
You need a bigger amp. Your trying to run 1400rms to 2250rms with of subs... You need at least at 3k+ for those. Especially at 1.33 instead of 1.... those can handle a good 1200-1500 clean each... 18 Sierra 6.2 Z71 : 3 F8L's, DD M2a @.67, 1.95@33 05 TL build log SOLD 04 YukonXL : jvc kw-v51bt , RE 6.5c, 4 jbl gt5 12s, Memphis pr1000.1 5.5 cu.ft. sealed
Ron36
Got the same subs I'm running a American Bass VFL 120 witch is 2200rms at 1ohm, I'm running at .6ohms so getting around 1k per sub and they take it allday. Would get a bigger amp. 2022 Ford Maverick on 22’s Skar SK1500.1 on 4 Skar VD-8’s Mids Sundown Super tweeters, Skar TX 6.5 components on Skar SKM400.4 LC2 for audio control , XS Power D680 XS Series Extra Battery
ShadeTreeMechanic
A 1400w amp divided by 3 subs is less than 500w each. Especially if you are running over 1 ohm. You might be less than 350w each with impedance rise so you should be able to get a lot more out of them. I would get two more amps and run one on each sub and Wang the heck out of them. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
