WalledSonic
Finally got around to phase balancing my two 5Ks. Here's a pic of the setup: Took a few minutes to get the options configured and bounds set, but here's a comparison of the phase difference between the two 40Hz sinewaves. As you can see, the blue line (passenger side amp) is not perfectly in phase with the yellow line (driver side amp). After adjusting the phase knob on the passenger side amp, I was able to get the blue line perfectly overlaid on top of the yellow one. And here's the same plot except I switched the primary channel to ensure the 2 waves were perfectly overlaid Feels good knowing the 2 pairs of subs are completely in unison now. WalledSonic
I was supposed to go to Audible Carnage today, but its been pouring off and on all day. Pulled the car in the garage this morning for random stuff and noticed my 8s were wet The weld doesnt keep water out, the seal does (or should, anyway). Its not the perfect day for resealing a windshield, but I dont need any water damage in my daily. Here you can see the gap under the windshield seal I saw the leak a few weeks ago in the car wash so I had already ordered a tube of 3M Windo-Weld from amazon. This morning I wiped everything down and dried it the best I could with the shopvac. Then I put some of this goo in there. This shit has some serious warnings on the label so I made sure to wear gloves. We'll find out how it fares within the next couple days. Wishuponasub
Damn that sucks about the leaking. I'm glad I won't have loud people problems lol. Looks like some pretty thick stuff. rocking.that.eclipse
Well that is a never ending battle. My blazer has had a leak there for the past 4 years. Replaced seals, windshield and even caulked inside of window and door where I could and it still leaks....
WalledSonic
The OM-1 lights are mad bright. Like crazy bright. So I found some cheap tinted (smoke) acrylic on amazon and started with a single layer Still dont have a router table, but sketchy freehand power tool touchups work really well too. Just look at them rounds Quickly decided I'll need two layers to quell the brightness Here's a video showing the brightness of the OM-1 versus two layers of tinted acrylic (cant tell if video loaded choppy or if its just choppy on my current connection, I'll fix tmrw if vid is fuckered up) Chevy Sonic Wall (4) 15's on 10k Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209412-2015-chevy-sonicwall4-15s10klithiumlarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ (4) Fi SP4 15's | (2) Ampere 5Ks | Active! | Arc KS600.2 & KS125.2mini | CDT Silk Domes | Silver Flute 8s | 240Ah JY | US Alts Jeep Wrangler JK (4) 8's in a 4th Order Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209841-shadow-2016-jeep-wrangler-jk4th-order4-8sdc-35klarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ IG @walledsonic
ChevyBoy95
Audible carnage was a good show, but honestly, it rained like 50% of the time. I spend most of the show with teammates under a pop up bullshitting. Looking great tho man!
