WTF is this ?  It hurts my head. 12v alt? How do you come up with this crap? Please put the peace pipe down.

one of GM's 12V or 14V alternators?  My 2005 Silverado Alternator is 14V 145A~DC, so you must be showing a 12V~150A Alt,

Sad fact remains my truck was NOT built in America it was built in Canada and i even spoke to someone who was a friend of mine on facebook who worked for the Chevy manufacturer of the Silverado's in Canada and he even said the truck has a 14V alternator not a 12v Alt.

DaFaq are you talking about????

12v vehicles have alts that charge at 14v.    Canadian, Australian and  Mexican GM's work on a 12v system. I think you are not understanding how a 12v system works.

Oh i know how a 12v system works I did take 3 years of electronics in High school hands on and some in college and also worked on cars in college an always got A's to B's in each class. 

But oh well enough dealing with ppl who have probably not even lived as long as ive been into electronics!

LMAO, Ive been in car audio since 88. Please stop and just admit you didnt know 12v systems charge at 14v and chalk it up as you learned something new.

Your "14v" alternator should be charging at 16v then so 13's and 14's seem awfully low, lol

You should call the dealership and see if your truck has a 14v battery.
