dudeogo
So I'm working on the design for a 4th order wall in my jeep. Still saving up and buying equipment so I have plenty of time on my hands. The question is, when constructing a 4th, is it required to have the full manufacturer spec sealed side for each sub/ should it be larger or smaller? 4 EVL 18s are going in my 98 ZJ Grand Cherokee Stage 3 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 MIDS/HIGHS BASS 8 Unlawful Sounds Mark VIIIs 2 15s (in talks with a few companies) 8 Unlawful Sounds Super Tweeters Soundigital EVO 5000 Amps: Something Brazilian
Triticum Agricolam
Generally speaking, the larger your sealed side is the better low frequency output you will have. What limits how big you can make the sealed side is how much power you are running. If the sealed side is too big you will run into excursion issues.
