Alpine type R's are great but alittle over your budget but not by a lot. I'm guessing that amp is 100x4 the type R's but would work good but can handle more power.

If i had to say so my self id go with the crescendo PWX 6.5"

I would not ! (is it a comp set or just a mid speaker?)

Go to your nearest car audio shop, and try to listen to what they offer. That's the best way to chose.

Alpine type R, and some JBL comp sets are good budget choice.

S S A has great combos with their Evil tweeters and Evil mids, but out of your current budget.

But you already have a 4 channel amp : that's a good point.

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

I would recommend the Morel Maximos. They are $150 on Crutchfield. I listened to RF, HAT, Alpine, JL, Hertz, and Focal;none of them could compete with the sound quality of the Morels for less than $200.
