8ten8
So, I was dead set on having the amps for the mids and highs under the front passenger seat. Out of the way and keeping the seat functional was my main goal. Of course having a great sound stage, that goes without saying Getting the amps to fit...cut out this belly from under the seat Used a grinder to start then finished with tin-snips A little butyl around the edges. After putting the seat back down, I was still off a few mill. A few washers did the trick Cut the carpet, kept the backing and test fit with ABS bottom plate. Was all good till I ran the 1/0. Like I said, the washers came in handy 1/0 runs from the rear bank and Knu reducers. About $7.00 a pair? Happy with outcome but I'd like more power to the 6.5's. Which means larger amp (ugh) but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Right now the evil6.5's are LP at 250hz off the amp and HP at 63hz off the HU. The CTD es-02's ( hybrid tweeter ) are HP at 250. After a while of listening, will cross the CDT's higher in 50hz increments and up to 400 and see what sounds best. As we all know, tuning the front stage takes time Yep, velcroed those ^^^ for easy on-axis location ideas

Bump4life
On 1/28/2018 at 12:19 AM, 8ten8 said: 8 months in the making and It finally arrived. Super stoked to say the least. 35lbs of H.O. greatness The install was fairly easy. Had to do a few mods. Removed one bolt that holds the casing together and filed down the bracket that my finger is pointing too. Then she was able to slide in. Also had to mod the bracket in the rear. You can almost see where the original fold in the bracket was. Fits perfect now Was able to squeeze a ground behind the casing A few hours later and she fired right up. No squeal and no whine. At idle. Haven't seen this kinda voltage seance I bought the vehicle 2 yrs ago. Always wrestled with 13 flat. Gonna try this in a week or so... Got the mids and highs going now too. I'll update about that tomorrow. Later hey kessel, nice build! Glad you got the alt in! If you could call me to explain some of this install I would appreciate it so we can further modify the design to get it so customers do not have to mod at all I would appreciate it. Luckily nothing too major had to be done. Also the regulator we installed is a constant set point of 14.2-14.4v. modifying the stock wiring will do nothing for you. give us a call and we can help finalize everything and make sure everything is good to go. I will email you. Glad to see you are happy with it so far!
