So I just received my gear, local shop is going to install a box in extended cab ford f350 diesel , removing large bench seat. Measurements I came up with 33 length,14.5 height, 10 in depth for a total of 2.769. Was wondering if someone could help me out with porting/venting widths/depths etc. Dc has the Fs at 33hz

Take a look at my builds, I have (2) DC Level 2 12s on 1200 watts.  one ported build, one sealed build.  The images probably cant be seen anymore because of photobucket  new policies.

However, the ported box was 13.5x34.5x19.5 for gross volume of 4.13ft, port was 10.5x4x14 tuned to 37.5  port area=42 sq in and 12.97 sq in per foot.

I was just going off of Dc's  box size off of the spec sheet, if I go bigger than there 1.25 recommendation, whats the effect going to be. Also would love to see your builds, can you post a link or somethingelse?

Making the box larger will make it louder. What are your goals? Tune lower for musical tune higher output.

Fs changes once in box so not to relevant.

Not necessarily. It will take less power to drive the subs would be a more valid way of putting it since loudness is very conditional on frequency (sometimes smaller boxes are louder too).

With you having a perfect match up of 2 600w subs and 1200w amp, sticking around recommended volumes would be fine, going a bit smaller or bigger would also be OK. You just dont want to go to extremes because too big and you could cause mechanical damage (with too much power applied), and too small and you wont be able to drive them sufficiently.

2.769 cubic feet is the external volume of the box, once you take out the wood displacement and the driver's displacements you end up with 1.7 cubic feet of internal volume, in that space you can only do sealed at 0.85 cubic feet per driver barely above DC recommended volume for sealed, if you want ported you need to increase your external dimensions quite a bit.
