Antoni Čović
Hello, I'm planing to buy FI Q15" Dual 2 ohm but I'm not sure if Hifonics is good amp to wire it on 1ohm stable? (I heard Fi Q are 2x 1.4ohm not 2ohm) Amp link: http://amp-performance.de/1097-Hifonics-Brutus-BXi6000D.html
alex912005
I'm assuming you want to buy the new Neo Q. It says on the Fi website that dual 2 is actually dual 1.8 ohm, so in parallel would be 0.9 ohm. That amp might be a little too much for it but let's wait and see what others say. Might be fine after box rise. Do you have the electrical to power that amp? My Build Log
Antoni Čović
Well, It's old Fi Q 15 and I'm buying used one. But I read one theread about FI voice coils and one guy wrote that Dual 2 ohm and RE: 1.4ohm is different thing.
alex912005
Yes the old one probably is dual 1.4. I have a Fi SP4 dual 2 ohm and it's actually dual 1.3-1.4 ohm. The amp will be fine on .7 because it will rise anyway when you play music. Mine is rising to 2 ohms. So it might be fine but let's wait for other opinions.
