06RTCharger
Lol i know, this wasnt to get anything correct and matched up. Just wanted to post some pics of the tool being used, but wasnt about to waste a lug just to throw up some pics lol. I went through alot if u remember for those lugs. I wasnt expecting perfect crimps, strictly just messin around with a hydraulic crimper for the first time. Using extra lugs that i have no use for. 06RTCharger
Does this crimp look too round on the corners? Should i go a size down on the dies? This is 250kcmil dies, with 250kcmil flex lugs. The wire barely fits into the lug, usually losing a couple wire strands but still try to tuck them in while i twist the lug down to fully seat the wire all the way into the long lugs. 06RTCharger
Nevermind, i tried it and it wings a lil bit. This is the 4/0 dies, crimping over the previous 250kcmil dies crimp. Ill stick with the 250, it was good enough. I could tell by how solid the wire feels below the lug, it doesnt bend like the rest of the wire. WalledSonic
Just rotate the lug in the 4/0 die and recrimp the wings down. 250mcm isnt going to give you the best crimp since 4/0 is equivalent to 212mcm Chevy Sonic Wall (4) 15's on 10k Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209412-2015-chevy-sonicwall4-15s10klithiumlarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ (4) Fi SP4 15's | (2) Ampere 5Ks | Active! | Arc KS600.2 & KS125.2mini | CDT Silk Domes | Silver Flute 8s | 240Ah JY | US Alts Jeep Wrangler JK (4) 8's in a 4th Order Build Log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/209841-shadow-2016-jeep-wrangler-jk4th-order4-8sdc-35klarge-case-hairpin-us-alts/ IG @walledsonic

Maybe ill just do a recrimp with the 4/0 die on the first crimp (nearest to the wire insertion) of every lug. I really dont wanna crimp each lug 12 times lol. 06RTCharger
4crimps with 250die, 4 recrimps with 4/0die, 4 more 4/0 crimps to fix the wings. I think the wings would be even bigger if i start out at the 4/0. Is 4/0 being equal to 212mcm for awg standard tho? Maybe being that car audio wire is usually over sized when compared to true awg, its close to 250mcm?
