Old SoundStream in 2016 F-150

Q-150

Recommended Posts

I have a 2016 F-150 supercrew I am in the process of getting all my equipment together for a semi sq/sql build. So far I have a jbl ms-8 a SoundStream Reference Picasso class A 4ch and a SoundStream Reference 10.0 class A 2ch. 4 old school jl audio 10w6’s. Two of them have been refoamed and the other two still need to be and the Picasso needs the switches replaced. Both amps probably should be recapped. So what I want to do is run a active 3- way front stage using Dayton Audio reference paper cone drivers. 7” possibly 8” in the doors the 4” in the pillars with a tweeter that I haven’t decided on yet. I want to run the Picasso on the 4” and tweets and the 10.0 on the mids in the doors. Still not sure how it will all work out. Will use the ms-8 to the factory 8” screen. I also have a kicker kx 400.1 and an infinity kappa 10” sub that I could run. I also have 2 15w6’s that need reconed. I’m just trying to get suggestions on what I should run. Any help would be awesome. I just want it to sound really good and not kill me in the wallet. Thank you.

First thing you need to do is take apart your doors and see what will actually fit in them. Would be a shame to buy drivers and not fit your application.

See what deadner you need and if your will need to buy of make baffles for driver application. Good luck with your search.
