Sloppy hamfingers
The 80 prs has been out awhile but seems like the best single din put out in awhile, I’m definitely no expert so don’t flame me and say I’m a moron just yet. Lol. I’m just wondering if the newer $300 pioneer double dins are more show than sound compared to the prs, I’m sure you could debate pros and cons of both but I’m just wondering if the prs sound is a lot better than the double dins, I like the big screens and options but mostly the look in how it fills up the dash, but I’d settle for the single din 80 prs if it’s 10 times better for quality. I’m choosing for now to run a pair of 6.5 components without an amp, my two 12’s are gonna be running off a alpine 500 mono, just like to hear opinions on what’d be the better decision. WalledSonic
I dont think the same components are used from the 80PRS in any double din model. ShadeTreeMechanic
The 80 PRS has separate Bur-Brown 24 bit D/A converters for each pair of outputs along with built in DSP and 5v pre out make this one of the best sq head units that is still available. I bought mine for the DSP and was surprised how much better it sounds than the JVC I took out. There really is a difference. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Sloppy hamfingers
I’ve always heard if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, but I’ve found a 80prs brand new online for $113. If I order it I will pass on the knowledge, damn good deal tho I thought.
