PSC60 Making Chirping/Buzzing Sounds During Float Charge

Recently I noticed (while charging AGM XS batteries) that my PSC60 makes a chirping/buzzing sound when its in Float Charge mode (13.5V).  It sounds kinda like what an amp sounds like when its clipping.

I dont recall this noise in the past.  Its sounds bad enough that I dont want to leave it on overnight in charge or recovery mode.  Cant get a response from XS Power on the matter.

Any input?  Are your chargers rather quiet?

I'll get a video tonight when I get into the garage.

if i were you, not sure how long you've had that charger, but it sounds to me to be the charger on its way out and i would replace it, just to be safe.  if its somewhat new, I'd see if there's an exchange you can do with it.  just my $0.02

XS Power is fkn awesome.  16 month old charger making 'clipping' noise during float... I offered to pay for repair, they are doing a replacement.  Great customer service!

I took a tour of XS the day before the show they hosted (down there for buisness) Scottie knows how to take care of his customers. My buddy had gotten the wrong charger (said it was 12v and charged to 17v) 3 times in a row and Scottie personally walked back there to make sure he got the right one on the last time.

I had one of the old school, red brick house type chargers,... I HOOKED it up wrong, and blew the fuck outta it. I called and talked to Chris, i told him straight up, it needs repair, i hooked it up wrong, ... he said "no worries, i just sent you a new one, its on its way, here is the info,... just send that one back whenever ya want". ...  

 

Fuck yes.

Exactly what happened to my buddy. He has a 36k spl and it was charging at 17v for like an hour...

called xs and scottie sent him a new one out 3 times without him sending it in.

It could have cost a lot more if we didn't figure out that the lithium was overcharging so quickly. Coulda ran overnight and gernaded

Every vendor in this industry takes about a week or so to respond.  The ones that actually DO respond, and furthermore, offer help... are few and far between.  XS is one of those awesome ones.
