06RTCharger
Took these pics a few weeks ago and forgot to post them. It was a PITA trying to get this amp bracket out because of the top screwbolt being almost flush against the back of the gauge cluster housing. I think the correct way to remove it is take the whole dash out first. I wasnt about to do all that tho lol, i was working with a cheap walmart camping lamp to see what im doing. By the time i got it out i felt like gutting the amp for the fun of it. So i took some pics. What do ya’ll think of this stock amp for a boston acoustic 7 speaker system (3in dash/6x9 doors/6x9 rear deck/8in sub rear deck). Maybe the stock headunit supplied some of the speakers with power and the sub used this amp? Idk. Does anyone know if i need any of that still pluged in for the car to work? Theres plugs going to the amp and a couple plugs going to that black module thing on the other side of the amp bracket. Cars still in peices, im kind of out of commission right now. Been out of work almost 2 weeks with a sprained ankle, finally hobbling around without crutches today.

06RTCharger
Here is why i even took the time to remove that bracket. I needed to get to the driver side grommet to pass the speaker wire into the door. Dodge figured its a good idea to cover the grommet completly by bolting down the parking brake pedal assembly right over the grommet.......so i had to remove the whole parking brake pedal assembly to get to the grommet. Those two bolt holes near the hood release lever is where the bottom of the amp bracket bolted to. So the bracket blocks the brake pedal assembly from removing, and the brake pedal housing completly covers the access to the door grommet. Fun times smh lol Perfect big empty passage way on the top portion of that stock plug thing. The 10awg techflexed speaker wire squeezed through nicely, that stuff will be on the BL tho, when i get walkin and finish laying the foundation.
