H/O alt at idle has trouble supplying enough current to run everything, especially with fans blowing like in the summer? But I've seen manufacturer's ratings for their H/O alts at "idle" (around 800 RPM), and it's still higher than what a standard alt can do. Example - https://www.mechman.com/high-output-240-amp-alternator-Ford-Escape Hot rated at idle to do 120 A. Is it the cheaper H/O alts that struggle at idle?
