Android auto - long time to connect

Recommended Posts

Pioneer 8200NEX, Samsung Galaxy s6

It seems to have popped up out of the blue. I didn't change anything on my end

Issue: When connecting my phone to USB, there is a ~7-10 minute delay until I can open Android Audio on my head unit

Steps taken to resolve: Restarted phone, reinstalled android audio, tried launching android auto on the phone - will display on phone screen but still inaccessible through head unit

Everytime i skip the "accept terms & ok to continue" after installing android auto i get the same thing.

Also, you don't want android auto running on the phone while using USB (make sure you didn't select "start android auto with usb")  because that option is strictly for the phone and will not carry over through the usb if selected.

Try uninstalling again and going through the setup, also make sure head unit smart phone settings wasnt accidentally switched to ipod ect.

Long story short, the port on my phone was fucked. Couldn't get any data out of it from any device on any cable. Ended up replacing the phone
