Joshdashef
HU: Pioneer 80 PRS running network mode (active crossover) If I were to run a pair of both RF 6.5 Punch Pros and tweeters (either punch or power series) would it be better to run the tweeters on a less powerful 2-channel amp, and the 6.5s off a more powerful 2 channel/4 channel bridged? or run the whole thing off a 4 channel amp similar to this p600.4? reedal
it'd be simpler with a single four channel. There's really no need for more than that since you're working with two drivers and two tweeters SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
ckeeler11
As Reedal said no need to run multiple amps. You can always turn down the gain on the channels with the tweeters.
PC Principal
I agree with the others. Its much simpler to wire up one amp. Those Punch Pros will scream on a p600.4. I am running mine on a p400-4 and they are getting plenty of power. 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser RF Power T1000 BDCP RF Punch 400-4 2 P2D4 12's
Joshdashef
Alright 4 channel it is, but how do I gauge how far to lower the gain on the two channels the tweeters will be on? MrSkippyJ
set it to the max undistorted level, then lower it until you stop hating yourself for using pro-tweets (last part is a joke!!) for real though, set it to max undistorted level and lower it (or keep it the same) until you like how it sounds and has the balance that you like.
