I have nothing against using car audio in your home. I run an alpine type s 12 in my surround sound. But please dont use a battery to power a car amp in your home. Batts release gas thats bad for you to breathe. Also im sure your probly using a battery charger/maintainer to keep the batt going. Also unsafe. Could start a fire and will deffinately kill your batt over time. Caps like you are reffering to help little if at all. Really just depends on how much power your running. In for pics.
