I've been looking at some brands of 1/0 wire but I'm a little hesitant which to go with. I've heard that welding wire is less flexible but costs less than OFC "car audio" wire, so what can you guys say from personal experience?

welding wire being less flexible is a lie.  it's made to be flexible.  and durable.

fwiw welding 2/0 is the same as car audio 1/0 if you decide to go that route.

it all depends on your budget for wire of course, but some there are some excellent brands like Knuconeptz, GP audio, etc.

I've use RF 0 AWG(most expensive) SHCA is good quality stuff(reasonable price) Knuconceptz is good(budget friendly) all OFC.

+1 for welding wire. I have a lot of 1/0 Knu and it's good, but have to get 2/0 terminals... welding wire is smaller for the same ampacity. Also from what I've seen welding wire has a more durable sheath.

Ive done car audio CCA 1/0, OFC 1/0, and welding 1/0 and 2/0.... I WILL NEVER go back to car audio wire. For the price, you can get 2/0 welding cable (100% copper) for around half the cost of car audio wire. Easy decision for me unless I have wire sponsor, which will never happen.

EB-Flex 2/0 right now is 2.30 or so a ft and if you buy 250 worth, you get free shipping, so over 100ft for the price of some 50ft rolls of car audio 1/0 OFC.

anyone have any experience with gp 1/0 ofc? i see it all over facebook.

i use GP 2/0 and love it.  super flexible, double jacketing, OFC.  i got it on a sale so the price was comparable to other OFC.  plus they had it in white which is what i wanted.

fwiw things showing up on your facebook ads is because you've clicked on/searched for it before.  facebook is a sneaky fuck.  i swear the app used to hear me talking about something then like a day later id see an ad for it.  creepy.

KnuKonceptz was what I used in the past. But if I could do it all over again, I'd go with EB Flex 2/0 to save money. I'm actually waiting for another good sale on the EB FLex 2/0 and restock like 150feet of that stuff to add more runs.
