I have, however, done some more research and experimenting and figured out much this evening. I managed to cut the silicon away from the part in question and desolder it from the board. Through some more digging I figured out that it is, in fact, a capacitor, sometimes called an "orange drop" capacitor. Once removed I could see that it was marked behind the silicon, "106K 100V" and an "A" on the next line. Apparently these can be had from multiple sources for just a few bucks. I should be able to get a next one and hopefully that will fix it. Old school bump soon come! Still tryin' to figure out which dang amplifier this is though...
