You mentioned doing real dually hubs rather than pro-street wheels. Any reason for that? Gonna be a killer retro ride. Hey man, thanks for posting !!! To me, they were never really considered "Dually trucks" more of Pro street with the Mickey meats. Loved them and always wanted to build one, but never did. I want a "True Dually" setup the way I thought they should have been. Know what I mean ??? Draggin dually Posted April 16, 2018 Report Share Posted April 16, 2018 Not sure how I feel about those 5-8 lug adapters/spacers....I probably woulda just swapped in a Dana 80 dually rearend for piece of mind, especially since you are gonna run dually wheels anyways. But other than that sweet ! If I had any plans to pull or haul any kind of weight or use it as a work truck, I would have bought a 3500 series GMT400. I think we will be fine. As posted earlier, once the Phantom upgrade is done, we will be watching how this ride responds to weight. If everything works according to plan, I want (not sure if this will happen) a fully custom built HLCD dash. I’d like to see for sure a pair of 8” drivers in the doors for mid bass. If all that comes to work out as planned, and if I can find a retro 1/4 cab or full snug, I’d like to see either 8 12s or 16 10s old school. May do another blow through setup with a flat bed cover ... please note nothing is set in stone and everything posted above is just ideas being thrown around at the moment.
