RCA's and Multiple amps

If you are using multiple amps, a DSP (digital signal processor) may be in order.  For the subwoofer amps, should you be using more than one amp to power a single channel (monoblock), your amps should have a strapping feature. If the amps don't have that, you may be using RCA splitters...which should be OK if only doing one or maybe two splits.

A DSP like this ...

We split our sub out, 6 times,.... Zero issues. Ran 4 sub amps in the blazer, run 6 sub amps in the burb now. Never a issue. We use a COCK box, from Scott Bowman (if you dont know of him, in the car audio world, remove head from sand) , which is basically a real nice splitter.   I refuse to strap amps, do not like doing that. Rather gain match 100 times out of 100. But, that is my preference.

Here is the blazer  ....

Never had any issue, no voltage drop across,... nothing. Runs tip top.  Its not 1981 any more.

In the home audio world, we loathed using splitters.  Each connection introduced some noise to the equation, more connections = more noise.

This is what makes audio (in general) so much fun!  So many ways to do things, and an opportunity to express creativity.
