Speakers for VW Golf Estate 2013

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am thinking in putting some new speakers (front and rear) on my VW Golf Estate from 2013. By the looks of it it takes 2 sets of 6.5 components.

If needed I also have the option of connecting the speakers to an old Alpine amplifier (MRV-F400) that delivers 4x60 into 4 ohms.

I am aiming for a SQ system with mids that can deliver some punch.

Has a starter I’ve selected the following speaker set:

Alpine - SPG-17CS

Skar - TX-65C

Rockford Fosgate P165-SI

incriminator áudio I65C

I m looking for some guidence on what would work best?

Many thanks in advance

Maybe components up front and coax in the rear? Spend more for the front speakers for a better sound.. Does the vehicle have a built in amp to the system? Powering the speakers with a amp with get you more output from the speakers as long as its a clean signal from the HU. Which most new cars have ok HU's, you will need to be able to tap into a full range signal to get the best sound from your new speakers.

Research your stock HU to get all the info you need for the best results. Newer stock systems can be tricky. I tried it once to leave stock POS 2012 Malibu HU in and build off it, wasn't long before i put a decent double din in and then the system came alive. I should have done it from the start. Just my 2 cents.

Hi,

The car does not have an Amp, if to be, I will be using the Alpine amp. Regarding signal to the amp, will probably need a pac interface and/or a audio control lc2. What do you think about some of the speaker I have hilighted? Do you have any suggestion?

also, Does anyone have experience on the Focal Flex 165 components?

thanks

Receiving advice on equipment you’ve not heard is a shot in the dark. What one person thinks sounds good might not be the sound you’re looking for. If you’re able to find a shop with a demo booth with any of the speakers you’re interested in, or know someone who has them, that’d be better to help you out.
