My old tweeter holes were from a Bose system (TRASH) and they were 3/4 inch drivers. I have the old caps to put back over those holes. And the positioning was poor anyways in the a pillars my pillar is such a weird shape It would have to be fiberglassed to look be ergonomic.

I dont have the cash right now to have something custom mounted right now or custom built.

I can afford the hole saw to flush mount my tweeters. Hertz suggested putting your tweeters on axis. But every possible location I have to mount  them either directs the sound at the windshield or away from me. (Off axis?)

Was going to settle for flush mount under the windshield so the sound bounces back to me or possibly in the side doors above the arm rest? Wasn't sure if maybe  maybe the sound waves from the two tweeters would sound all fucky tho if they were both pointing at each other.

Thoughts?

Found a new.place to mount them. That would direct the sound up.at me on an axis.

But this isn't the shoulder height most tweeters recommend and their not further than 8" from my 6.5 woofers. Should that be a problem?

I could still put them in the dash bouncing off the windshield

I will most likely.get another set of components at.some point. So I guess it's.not a huge deal.where I place these. Still wouldn't mind some suggestions when someone get a chance

If you dont mind riding ghetto-style for a little while, (until you can afford to do something better), you could probably make some sort of cheap block of wood and screw it on the A-pillar and double-stick tape the tweeters on it.  For a permanent solution, doing a little fiberglass work to your a-pillars would probably be the best route.  It isn't all that expensive to do small fiberglass projects.  Check out utube for some ideas on how others have done it...it isn't too challenging or expensive.

The triangle shaped spot on the door window would be a pretty good spot too.  You would only need to fashion some sort of shim to angle it more towards your hearing position.  Since it is black, the shim could easily just be painted and look decent.

I would mount them with double sided tape and listen for a few days to determine what the best location.  The lower you mount them the lower you soundstage will be unless you have a decent headunit with T/A.

First spot would be sail panel then A-Pillar, then, down by mid.

They are painted PVC end caps (maybe a dollar each) with threaded copper pipe for running wires through and connecting to the a Pilar’s.

Very simple and Very effective with directional aiming of the tweeter.
