system issues scratching my head at what happened

It could come down to a bad RCA, or that Cock Box too if the output voltage from RCAs is low. If this is the case, you should check the HU next to make sure that isn't the source of the issue. If it is not the issue, plug the RCAs from the HU to the sub amp directly, and jumper from that sub amp to the other with another set of RCAs, and test again.

Replaced rca to bass knob with different rcas still same thing. What should the voltage read in rcas.

Checked it and I believe read around 2 volts. Leaning towards rca output on 80 prs somehow got weaker. 

Going to write down all settings and reset hu to see if that works. If not going to try retry gainmatching dc5ks again before dropping $200+ on a hu

Bypass the cockbox and see if anything changes.

Trouble shooting is a process of elimination, remove as much as possible to start and keep adding until you find the issue.

What tone were you using when taking that reading? Should be around 40hz for testing sub out, and it should read around 6 volts for that deck. Read straight from the back of the deck to rule it out.

PRS wont output more than 5V max

Ah, was going off of deck specs I found online, must've been for wrong deck. I see now on Crutchfield it is listing 5V. My bad!

If so try removing them from the lines and see what happens.  Like just remove the positive wires, make sure to protect them and see what happens.

Now that's the issue I'm having with my system now.My system plays fine with just the front battery but once i added one in the trunk my amps go into protect mode also.Did you ever solve this problem
