TheChicksDigIt
I have a 2011 F150 SuperCrew Cab and am considering options on which and/or how many subs to run. I would like to keep the truck as clean and factory looking on the inside as possible, but am naturally running into issues with mounting depth . I'd like to stick with and under the seat box and really want to run one Rockford Fosgate P3 10". Regardless of which prefab box, I will almost always be limited to under 5.5" mounting depth. This leaves me to only a few options as I see so far: (1) choosing two lower powered 10" woofers, (2) running multiple 8" front firing woofers, or (3) going with 2 shallow mount 10-12" woofers (however I have never nor ever want run shallow subs). As I said I would love to run the RF P3 which has a mounting depth of over 6 inches. What are your thoughts or has anyone found clean ways to install something similar? Thank you! That has to be loud as hell btw!

Ron36
I started with shallow mount subs , Don’t waste your money . Also running like 4-6 6and a half inch subs sounds kinda cool but the bass is alittle different. 2022 Ford Maverick on 22’s Skar SK1500.1 on 4 Skar VD-8’s Mids Sundown Super tweeters, Skar TX 6.5 components on Skar SKM400.4 LC2 for audio control , XS Power D680 XS Series Extra Battery

I was thinking the same thing when I saw there were 6x8s back there with nothing else. This is for sure on my bucket list in the next year. For now just replacing all 4 6x8's with Fosgate and a cheap 4-channel. But damn I wish I could here your setup in person!
ckeeler11
I would seriously consider the Sundown Sd-3 not a true shallow sub and can still get down. Or seat lift to get the extra room needed.
