veleno Posted August 3, 2018 Report Share Posted August 3, 2018 So here's the system: RF8140 hu EPX2 w28eq & DSP card 400x4 200x2 The 400x4 front ch. xover is set to HP on the horns, the rear ch. xover is set to LP on the midbass, and the 200x2 is set to LP on the single 8" sub. The EPX2 xover is set to HP 1205hz on horns, BP 100hz on mids, and LP 80hz on sub. Sounded pretty good but could use more tuning to get it sounding better. In talking with a friend, he said I should be setting the amp xovers to FULL range and let the epx2 do the xovers (makes sense). So I switched all the cards to FULL range and the mids and sub sort of "pop" when trying to play certain frequencies (not there before) so I'm not sure the FULL range setting is the best.
