Qrs6k3 3 ways , anyone ever heard them? Dirt cheap and wondering if I should bite and see what they r about. Currently have ds18 4",ds18 tw110 tweeters, and Kenwood 6 1/2 concert woofers with a audiopipe passive 3 way cover being pushed by 2 channels of my jbl gto 1000.4. I also am thinking about a set of Infinity reference 6 1/2 2 way components, with added in 4" infinity reference mids off the audio pipe 3 way covers. Any thoughts? I got about a 200$ budget on my doors. Current setup will be migrated to rear " doors" ( 2 door Blazer but going to put them where the stock speakers go).

2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs   of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz

Personally I would hunt down a set of 3way passive crossovers of decent quality and then purchase raw drivers, you can make a pretty nice set of 3 way components relatively inexpensive.

01 Chevy Silverado X-cab

2 Sundown Z18v4 walled on 2 Lanzar Opti 7k's strapped at 1/2ohm = each amp wired to 1/4ohm. Havent checked impedence rise so not sure what they are actually seeing. 6 group 31AGM's.

2-Eclipse 34230's each one running 2 Eminence 6.5" Beta 6A. These are beastly mids rated at 350w program power. I was skeptical but the eclipse amps are 370w x 2 and when there was 4 mids on 1 amp I could push it into thermal protect within a song so added the 2nd amp.

Eclipse 4212 running 4 CT sounds Meso tweeters. and 2 DLS ultimate tweeters up high to raise the soundstage.

96' Ford F350 4wd 4d long bed 7.3 diesel with 91k miles. Will be the sound quality rig if I can ever find the time.

Old post but never saw a reply sorry. I started out with audio pipe passive 3 way xovers, had orion 3" tweeters, power acoustic 4" sealed back midrange, and kenwood concert series 6.5"s. Sounded pretty damn good off 110watts to each set. None of the speakers could handle the power except the 6.5s. Went active 3 way, rockville 6.5" woofer ( cause they play alot lower than others in thier class of speaket), ds18 pro 4x 4", and ds 18 tw110 3" tweeters and after lots of tweeking on crossover points and eq adjustment thwy are waaay loud and very very clear. Lacking some lower midbass but i got a plan for that with some 6.5" freeair subs, so going to end up woth an active 4 way before its done.

Maybe not technically active 4 way, but i have a 5 way active xover and am going to use my other 2 channels on my gto to add some higher bass.  Kind of a gap between 90hz and 110-120hz. Can only hear it in some songs. Have extra 2 channels ( 110x2@4ohm and 150x2@2ohm) and have 2 audiopipe 6.5" 4 ohm dvc "subs". The blazer has small hatches to left and right of rear seats im gonna glass closed and put them in there, roughly .5 ft3 each and already have holes for 6.5s so thats a no brainer to toss em in there to take up the gap and if the APs r weak i may think about some ds18 6.5s. Got all the stuff already so might as well use it.
