nickcamarata Posted August 14, 2018 Report Share Posted August 14, 2018 has anyone ever cut out the back of the truck cab and welded a metal enclosure to the cab that a box could sit in? ive only found 1 person who has done it but there are no details on it. i would think it would be much better because the box is in the truck rather than sealing it to the cab with accordian seal, plus you wouldnt have to worry about water destroying the box. Calrider76 Posted August 14, 2018 Report Share Posted August 14, 2018 You still have to cut the bulk head of the bed and leave room for it to flex as the bed and cab can’t be welded together and seems to me that puts a lot of strain on the cab wall. Could work though. If you do a proper blow through you only need holes for ports like Soundman did not the entire cab wall. Just my 2 pennies...
