SnowDrifter
Little curious how your hydroboost brakes feel during operation? Was paying some close attention the other day when I was pushing limits and getting familiar with new tires. Noticed that the first 20% of my pedal controls 80% of my brake force. I need to basically fully straighten my leg and use the last 80% of the pedal to get the last bit of brake force and break the traction limit on my tires It's like, at the peak of braking, the pedal loses its linearity in both travel distance vs. brake force, and travel distance vs. brake feel. You know how if you absolutely mash the pedal down it loses its linearity in actuation force? I need to push it well into that for a full abs stop. Brakes are bled, p/s fluid level is fine. I don't have any other hydroboost'd vehicles to compare to. Not sure if this is normal behavior or not. p/s pump is original from the factory. Not sure if the hydroboost booster is. Vehicle came with it as an option but it may have been replaced at some point. Not sure. Is this normal behavior? It strikes me as a little odd but well.. I have no other points of reference ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
KCK Jukebox
Of the few trucks and suvs i worked and fixed that seems quite normal. And you will know very fast if your hydro boost brakes were going out. As when you press the brakes it becomes almost impossible to turn. Truthfully one of the stupidest things gm has put on vehicles
