CrewCabBassHead
So I just ordered 2 10" e series subs and I'm planning on putting them in my crew cab F250. There's not much room behind the rear seat. I've got 60" across the back, 8" deep at the bottom, tapering up to the top of seat ( where rear window begins) 24" tall. The guys on another forum are saying I have about 2 cubic feet to play with. Down for sound says one 10" ported would be tuned properly at 1.2 cubes @32-34hz. Just a few questions, I was thinking of doing one ported box behind the seat, and another sealed box under the rear seat. I have a Rockville 6000W / 1500 RMS 2 ohm amp coming in the mail as well. Can someone help me with designing the ported box? I'd love for it to hit deep. Here's my 10" sub specs. Thanks for all the help. http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/products/subwoofers-2/item/ev3-series

ckeeler11
Doing 2 different boxes is a bad idea. you will have nasty peak where the sealed and ported alignments meet. The you can end up with nulls where they are not in phase. You are better off doing 1 in ported enclosure or 2 in a sealed.
CrewCabBassHead
Ok I'm good with just one ported. I can build a box but how would I design the port? What would you recommend. Thanks for the help
