That more than double each sub from original was 750 rms each. slowfkncar Posted October 31, 2018 Report Share Posted October 31, 2018 A 3" 82mm fw aluminum coil is pretty long but the motor is usually what does most of the cooling. That being said, you might be able to give a longer coil more power but still, you'll need to see how it thermally holds up with that motor. I put it on the ohm on my voltmeter and it reading it weird on the 200 ohm . I using a Sears craftsman multimeter. After playing the subs for a 1/2 hr the cone felt a lil warm is that ok. No smell?
