ehall8702
I have solid plans for a new slot port box for my xfl, just been wondering how much more output i would get from a bandpass, 4th order 6th order? I have absolutely no clue which is better, why, or if its worth building a bandpass when i listen to mostly music. Im pushing 2k to my sub and have no idea how power ratings and bandpass even works. Any input would be great. Not sure if i wanna attempt it or not but my current slot port moves ALOT of air, just wondering how much more a single 12 can move. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. ehall8702
Even a t-line isnt out of the question, i have 4.5 cubes to play with. Any one do any modeling i can put up some measurements if ya want. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. Joe X
This sub can work both in 4th and six bandpass boxes, the main advantage with bandpass boxes is more control over bandwidth , with ported high efficiency is mostly around tuning. ehall8702
So what would be the most efficient from 80-90ish down to whatever is as low i can get with the 4.5 cubes? I have built ONE bandpass box in my life. Was a blow through for 4 10's in a standard cab ranger. Had 4 4" ports from box in bed to inside of cab. Straight dumb luck it sounded pretty good, cant even remember how i came up with measurements back then. I got 37" wide and i think 15" high, deep is like 30 something ( its -2* out so no real measurement and i havent had to measure max for any other box before) any help in a usefull design for a bandpass would be awesome, hell or even a program i can play arpund with on my computer to design one would be great too. Im not great with those programs but willing to give it a shot. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears.
