Sound q 0 gauge

Recommended Posts

Just to mention this wire, i just about to pull out like 50' of it out of my truck and to replace with skyhigh cca 1/0 oversized.  Honestly the sound q isnt much smaller than the shca wire. $75 for 50' for shca and is under $30 for thw sound q with 25 of each red and 25 black and a sealed fuse holder.  Definantly could do 2 or 3 runs if u were on a tight tight budget and prolly be good for 3k or so.

Why pull out cca to put the same sized cca back, why not upgrade to ofc?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

because the shca oversized was supposed to be better, it is bigger and looks better also. I am replacing one run inside the vehicle with 2 runs along the frame rails, double runs on everything big 4, battery bank and to sub amp, not sure if ill do double to 2 mids nd high amps yet but doubt it). Honestly I expected my current sound q wire to be waaaay undersized, but it actually isn't, so I have what I have and im just gonna use it, OFC is just out of mu budget and the cca is good enough for my power level ( which I will not be upgrading probably ever in this vehicle, under 3k rite now). I figured id be taking a big step up from what I had and turns out im just taking a baby step up and I cant return it so I might as well use it ya know?

Loosing voltage over long runs of CCA is never good no matter how much power your running.  Im not sure how many runs more you would need to not get voltage drop from front to back with CCA, iv seen up to 1-2v drop from front to back from people using CCA.  Bought CCA two times now but cant afford OFC?  You can get pure copper welding wire for 2.45 a foot in the 2/0 size.  At this point your just throwing money away buying more, im sure it works just fine with alot more runs.

I found some for low as 2.25.  But the colors are very limited at the lowest price, the black i ordered is out of stock, but there are many other brands of welding wire.  I was trying to get royal E., In the end, i just ended up buying ofc from skyhigh with the free shipping.

Didnt really buy it the first time, bought a bunch for an install and used leftover on my own stuff. I get what you are saying tho. Figured id be good with the shca 1/0 oversized stuff, but should have gotten ofc i know. I have what i have now, and when i bought the 1/0 cca the ofc was double the price amd it wasnt in my budget.
