meade916
started the doors today. Will get them actually wired up tomorrow. Ok the first thing i was faced with was the door speakers don't have any screws...i had to look up how to take it out LOL! Oh it just clips in! Well so much for me just swapping out the speaker. Time to remove it and make a proper ring for it. of course i had to make some new rings. I used black 3/4" HDPE. I taught Brandon how to make these from scratch...from cad to finished product. A simple little beginner project. But it came out great! Look at those garbage ass stock speakers. 3 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! Garrett RDT
Wow is that a carbon fiber cone? I’m still torn between the softer materials between 380Hz and above. What is the crossover set to??
meade916
modding the stock spare tire cover to fit the support bracket. Ya i know it is stained but its under the box, with the exception of the very front and outer edges. Yes, the spare tire still slides in and out! I spent time making sure of that! meade916
I didn't just want to screw the fuse holder to the first piece of plastic in the car. There really wasn't many places to put a fuse holder. I only needed a single fuse block for this system but i chose a double (SMD FB2 https://www.wccaraudio.com/smd-double-anl-fuse-block-injection-mold.html ) fuse holder for the bus-bar on the battery side. This way i could do the big three a lot easier. I made a bracket out of sheet metal. I bent a hem into it on my sheet metal brake, and bent it into a bracket. I shot it with bedliner and drilled some holes into it. I don't know why i don't have many pics of that but i have it ALL on video which i will be uploading soon. I always use Skyhigh lugs! I really wanted to retain the factory power wires (not cut them) so i found these old adapters i had laying around. They worked great! I got his stock stuff hooked up like nothing happened...but i also got the SkyHigh 1/0 in it's own dedicated spot. I modded the battery hold down and bars to fit this battery. It's a pretty simple mod. You can sort of see the bracket here. The fuse is not in place until i am ready to fire up the system. 2 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
