Advice on pair of 8"s

Got a pickup truck, roughly a $250 budget, slightly over 2 cubes, and 1k rms ( @4 ohm, 2k @ 2 ohms). Narrowed it down to either a pair of AB VFL8d4, massive hippo 8 d4,  or ds18 z8 d4. What would you pick amd why? Im.partial to AB, but the massive audio subs look mean as do the ds18s. I have really no experience with small subs and dont really dont want to be dissapointed.

2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs   of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz

There is SOOOOOOO much you can do to this truck under the seat. Why so much Difficulty ???

You can do a pair of 12s ported under that seat if wanted ... Trust me, This truck is stereo friendly !!!

Ive have 2 of em and put stereos in dozens of em. I dont want same.old prefab with a pair of 12 or 10 either. Ive gottwn used to my blazer and know already my output is gonna get cut alot having to go to other woofers. Honestly I don't like diwn or up firing woofers and dont want to lift my seat to the point its not useable.  Learned my lesson with cutting and modifying and wont do it with this truck so i think i decided on a pair of 8's since there is roughly 2 cubes under the seat i can use.

Who said anything about prefab ??? I didn’t win SMD SOTM with anything prefab ... you might want to ask somebody.

good luck with the 8s

I dont doubt what you have done man, i was doin audio back before a 97 Silverado was even a truck and seen just about everything under the sun done to em, most of all those things take modifications that im just not gonna do to this "unmolested"  near mint shape truck. im talking flawless interior, which is unheard of up here in the UP and for once "rust free" means it, that is like the holy grail up here. There are many things i could do but any sub i wanna run is either too tall or too deep to mount either face up, down, or forward without modifications that i dont wanna do. Maybe i can fiberglass an enclosure and have enuff room for 4 vfls,  maybe not. Ill cross that bridge when i get to it. Trust me if this truck wasnt as clean as it was itd have a wall of 4 12s in a heartbeat. I just screwed myself on my blazer modifying too much and to sell it now i have to leave about $300 worth of speakers in it or spend $300 on new panels and parts to replace what was modified, just not willing to do it again. And up here, the stereo euipment wont even be appreciated,  someone will probably be listening to AM or talk radio on it lol. So no offense man, just cant go any bigger than what im gonna do without sacrificing parts of the vehicle, would definantly like a link to ur build log or even done pics of your truck tho, looks like a bad ass truck.
