Multiple Battery Grounding

Recommended Posts

Wiring 3 XS power batteries in parallel in the trunk of my car. Wiring with 2 runs of OFC 0 gauge, and wanted to ask a question about grounding. I plan on grounding underneath the back seats directly to the cars body. Should I ground each battery separately for a total of, or just one run ground from one battery to the body since they are all wired together? Thanks in advance

What's your max amperage for the alternator(s), your wire lengths, and what is the max amperage draw for your amplifiers? Safe to assume that you're charging voltage is between 13.8 - 14.2 V?

If your ground is just a few feet away you could get by easily with one 0 gauge, each battery. To be safe, if you have two 0 gauge coming in to the bank, then two 0 gauge going out is typically suggested.

If you are running two zero gauge from front to back i Would suggest 2 zero gauge grounds in back to frame at a minimum.

Usly you want a 1 to 1 ratio and of = wire gauge.
