Got my ppi amps today ( 7000.1d and ice1000.4). I am very impressed with the looks, the build quality, and for a cheap amp ($250 with 3 year warranty) the weight of it. Budget gem it bust did a Dyno on YouTube, and it puts out close to rated power too. Image upload is super small on the forum so I made a quick photo video on YouTube. Guys lemme know what you think about board layout and cap brands please. I got lucky the "warranty void if removed" sticker wasnt covered over the screw well so I could easily pull bottom plate off lol!

Not a chance in hell it'll do 7k lol, 1/2 ohm is like 3800 ( if the smd amm-1 is correct , really want to see it on the d'amore Dyno tho) if I remember right right from Dyno video. Amp isn't really that small, it's 21"x8.2"x2.2" and over 20lbs.

Way over kill for what I'm going to do with it but nice to know if I change my setup, I'll have the power to do about any setup i can fit in my truck.

Only reason it looks small is cause of my massive dick beaters! What don't u like about the power and ground terminals? Slightly angled 0 gauge inputs with set screws? Are you talking about how it hooks to the board or the screw terminals themself? Enlighten me, not justifying or arguing about anything just curious

Iv personally never liked angled terminals, makes you limited on what you can do.  And I don't like those scews, prefer alans.

Only 3800 at .5 ohm?  HAHAHHAAH.  Looking them up i should have known for 250 dollars it couldn't do 7k.

Lol ya your hands made it look small hahah.

Yeah I just put it on the test bench and it has Phillips head screws not Allen, but the ice1000.4 has Allen heads lol. I'll be getting different grub screws before install time. And I haven't found any other amps that'll put down almost 4k for $250. I have been on the hunt for quite a while and nothing comes close in this price range. I'll probably end up with dual 0 to single 0 angled adapters anyways since I'll be running dual runs from front to back ( on big 4 also) might as well get it to amp dual also. Mid ND high amp only getting 4 gauge tho.

Update! DO NOT MOUNT THIS AMP ANYWAY BUT FLAT WITH FACE UP!!!! Snapped off one of the mounting flats off and it broke one of the speaker output lugs off right at the board. Luckily I was able to solder the 8 gauge wire that goes from board to the output terminal together and terminal back to the board ( redundant since wire is directly to the output lug but wanted the added strength of lug to board also). I will be revising my amp mounting locations soon. Didn't help I had amps mounted to rear wall of my cab and it had hella flex from the 4 8s so it was bound to happen but the mounting tabs are actually only connected to the end cap plates and not the aluminum outer casing or the bottom plate even, poor design IMHO. Those side plates are only held to the main housing with a few small screws and half of them are threaded into plastic . Amo still worth what I paid for it in my opinion, doesn't have any issues at .5 ohms and doesn't overheat tho, just have to mount it differently.
