ztb1
Hello, Im pretty new to car audio but Im getting addicted to bass. Im looking for a new subwoofer to replace my jbl stadium 1024. I have it paired with a polk audio d2000.2 running 500w at 4 ohms bridged. I had a rockford p3 and upgraded to a jbl stadium 1024 but I still want more bass. I can’t go over a 10 inch woofer because I need the space in my trunk. Are there any subs preferably around $200 that would give me better SPL? im looking at a dayton audio ultimax 10 right now but wanted more opinions. DiBo
Sundown SA10 will thump pretty hard for right under $200. The 12 does really well at $
SkarredSierra
Skar, soundqubed, and american bass all also have good options around that price.
Sequoia_Bass
Psi audio also has a 10inch for $170 its the bassline 10. there is also a HP upgrade that allows for more power. You can also customize the sub alittle.
ztb1
Would I be losing anything if i under power it? My amp is only 500 w rms and the subs being recommended are 600-750 watts
bcbrassard
Ya but these subs can take more power. your amp might be the limiting factor. I would look at replacing both for more SPL.

Keep in in mind though that going from one 10” sub to a different 10” sub on the same power probably isn’t going to gain you a whole lot unless there was really something wrong with your current sub. DawsJGC
Consider a tuned ported enclosure for the current 10"? Other than that, I always recommend Sundown SA series.
