SnowDrifter
Found some big usability issues in my current software. Makes it unsuitable to continue with it - the thing tries to keep backups forever and when the drive fills up, no more backups happen. Only way around it is to clear the drive and start over. Not really ideal. So, I'm on the hunt for something else. My desired feature set is as follows: - Scheduled backups weekly - Rolling backups for 6mo - Versioning to handle file changes without removal of previous saves - Easy restore options. Drag/drop isn't necessarily ideal. - Price cap of $20/year - Handle multiple drives w/ specific folders. Total data ~750Gb - Encryption is a plus, though not a deal breaker either way - Lightweight and unobtrusive. If I have something jumping up and down like a jack russel on meth every hour telling me about other products/services, I might have a brain bleed - I don't care about any other bundled services. I have those handled. I just need a plain backup tool ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Triticum Agricolam
I’ve been using Cobian Backup for a couple years now and have been very happy with it. Unfortunately that just straight up doesn't work. It refuses to add a couple folders for unknown reasons. And the legacy win7 backup utility doesn't offer what I'm looking for ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
