Are you using a bass knob? is bass boot turned on any where? I too have always used -10 but I thought I would try the -7.5. Everything is flat, no boost, loudness, or any of that garbage. No bass knob. This really is depressing. Brian emailed me and is still leaning towards a gain issue. I'm not turning it down any more because I won't have adequate output for other music types. I guess I just have a sub that needs to be babied.

Tracks that clip I either turn down with the volume or adjust sub output on the hu if there are a few in a row.

My favorite demo tracks have made my subs stinky when I had my sp4's and now on my teams. Some tracks are just dirty. I just hammer on them dor a song or 2 then turn it down for a few songs. I use a gain knob to control subs. 12 hours ago, KickerSlo said: Woot up to 142.8db @42 hz . Yeah I have some tracks that I suspect are clipped from the recording because they cause some stink well below max power. I just turn em down because if I let it go more than a couple seconds this sub gets really stinky. No need to send it, I just got it a couple of months ago. Going to try and run some power tests today to see exactly what this sub is seeing when it gets stinky.

I didnt beat on my sp4's like I do my teams ( sp4's were on less power because of what amps I could afford at the time ). but the glue setting could be smelled for almost year. so some of what your smelling may not be bad. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/

That is an encouraging post. I feel like there is no way I can be overpowering this guy with a t2500-1bdcp. I appreciate you chiming in. If I'm unlucky enough to send this sub I'll definitely get a team next.

Seems like a perfect daily setup but teams seem more for competitions but then again the power difference is what double? makes sense. probably tuning to 30 ish hertz for mine. ssf around 24/25.
